A Captive insurance primer
The traditional insurance market appears likely to continue hardening and may experience a level of disruption from events like the COVID-19 pandemic. This is expected to create opportunities in the captive insurance market as insurers often impose strict underwriting standards, issue a limited number of policies, and increase premiums during hard markets. Business continuity planning for small businesses
On April 7th we hosted a webinar aimed at providing practical and useful information for small to medium Bahamian businesses. In addition, the webinar addressed aspects of business continuity insurance and other alternative risk transfer solutions for financing the cost of business continuity risks. Some emphasis was also placed on the need to keep hurricane preparedness in mind as the 2020 hurricane season is approaching.
